Ciao! Benvenuto/a nel mio sito TRAME DI MATERIA.

Sono FRANCESCA COLANTONI, un’archeologa e viaggiatrice, con la passione per la pitto-scultura. Nata e cresciuta a Roma, nel 2000 ho conseguito una laurea in Archeologia e nel 2006 divento pittrice autodidatta. Ho iniziato ad esporre come pittrice professionista nel 2016.

Ho esposto le mie prime opere con il Circolo Culturale Lorenzo Viani a Roma, dove tra l’altro partecipo settimanalmente a varie mostre di pittura en plein air nelle vie e piazze più belle della nostra città. In particolare, tra ottobre e novembre 2020, una mia personale dal titolo “The miracle of nature” è stata ospitata a Palazzo Margherita, sede dell’Ambasciata Americana di Roma.

Amo la natura incontaminata. Per questo motivo la prima parte della mia produzione è incentrata su ALBERI e FIORI. L’ALBERO è l’essenza della vita che anima l’universo, fonte di energia spirituale e simbolo della relazione tra cielo e terra.

Fin dalla loro comparsa sulla terra, 300 milioni di anni fa, gli alberi hanno costituito uno degli anelli fondamentali dell’ecosistema: dagli ALBERI l’uomo ha tratto, fin dalle epoche più remote e ancora adesso presso le poche popolazioni primitive rimaste, forme di nutrimento, legname per le costruzioni e combustibile per riscaldarsi. L’ALBERO influisce positivamente sull’ambiente che lo circonda: sul ciclo dell’acqua, sulla fertilità del suolo, sul clima e sulla sopravvivenza delle specie animali, compresi noi umani.

L’uomo ha sempre visto nell’ALBERO il dono di una Madre generosa (la Natura), il mezzo per risalire verso lo spirito immortale. E’ sintesi armonica di elementi quali l’aria (che filtra attraverso la chioma), il fuoco (energia solare raccolta dalle foglie), l’acqua (assorbita dalle radici e trasformata in linfa). Per questo tutti i popoli hanno visto nell’ALBERO una fonte di energia spirituale. La sua forma verticale, così simile all’uomo (ricordiamo che per Platone l’uomo sarebbe una pianta celeste, ovvero un albero rovesciato, le cui radici protendono verso il cielo e i rami verso la terra), è capace di attraversare tre regni (sotterraneo, di superficie e celeste) e per questo è divenuto simbolo della relazione tra cielo e terra.

L’importanza dell’ALBERO, la percezione della sua solidità e della sua inamovibilità si evince anche dalle forme linguistiche che usiamo nel nostro linguaggio quotidiano: i termini “radici”, “radicato”, “radicale” indicano la tendenza dell’uomo alla stabilità, all’appartenenza ad un luogo, alla profondità di un pensiero o di una idea.

La seconda parte della mia produzione, iniziata nell’autunno 2024, è dedicata all’astrattismo con particolare riferimento all’astrattismo simbolico.

Per i miei lavori utilizzo colori acrilici e diversi materiali con i quali eseguo opere a rilievo su vari tipi di supporto (tela, cartone telato, muri).

Effettuo lavori su commissione con preventivi personalizzati.

I’m FRANCESCA COLANTONI, archaeologist and traveler, with a passion for the painting-sculpture. Born and raised in Rome, in 2000 he obtained a degree in archeology and in 2006 became a self-taught painter. I started exhibiting as a professional painter in 2016.

I exhibited my first works with the Circolo Culturale Lorenzo Viani in Rome, where, among other things, I participate weekly in various painting exhibitions en plein air in the most beautiful streets and squares of our city. In particular, between October and November 2020, a solo exhibition of mine entitled “The miracle of nature” was hosted at Palazzo Margherita, home of the American Embassy in Rome.

I love unspoiled nature. For this reason the first part of my production is focused on TREES and FLOWERS. The TREE is the essence of life that animates the universe, a source of spiritual energy and a symbol of the relationship between heaven and earth.

Since their appearance on the earth, 300 million years ago, trees have been one of the fundamental rings of the ecosystem: from the TREES, man has, from the epochs of the most remote and still at the few remaining primitive populations, nourishment, building timber and fuel to warm up. TREE has a positive influence on the surrounding environment: on the cycle of water, soil fertility, the climate and the survival of animal species, including humans.

Man has always seen in the TREE the gift of a generous Mother (Nature), the medium to go back to the immortal spirit. It is a harmonious synthesis of elements such as air (which filters through the hair), fire (solar energy collected from the leaves), water (absorbed by the roots and transformed into lymph). For this reason all peoples have seen in the TREE a source of spiritual energy. Its vertical shape, so similar to man (remember that for Plato man would be a celestial plant, or an inverted tree, whose roots extend to heaven and branches to the earth), is capable of crossing three realms (underground , surface and celestial) and for this reason it has become a symbol of the relationship between heaven and earth.

The importance of the TREE, the perception of its solidity and its inamovability, is also evident from the linguistic forms we use in our everyday language: the terms “roots”, “rooted”, “radical” indicate the tendency of man to stability belonging to a place, to the depth of a thought or an idea.

The second part of my production, which began in autumn 2024, is dedicated to abstract art with particular reference to symbolic abstraction.

Form my work I use acrylic colors and different materials with which I perform relief works on various types of support (canvas, canvas board, walls).
